Hello CB, mounted on a '06 Sportster, you need a kit to as "Web links and a pair of side plates are removable and installed on the rear fender braces. So you can easily sissy bar, luggage rack, try, bags, etc ., on the back of the bike with only a few actually closures. There is a different number of motorcycles with or without pockets and options of chrome or go black. Looking to the HD Genuine Motor Accessories catalog on page 81, you do not have a copy which is free from any HD dealer.
Also, it can expect a little more expensive than the dealer add the connection set was on my bicycle, 3 hours touring the cited work, because you have the rear tires are removed. Good luck!

You must first determine whether the removable side panels or rigid support.

Rigid support is cheaper because you do not need equipment for mooring. Once you have the pages, sissy bar slides into the mountains and is connected to the flanges.

Note that is not the sporty '04 under the bar hold. The '04 and later sports with rigid side panels with the '02-'05 Dyna style. Sports '04 and later with removable side panels on '84 and later Softail-style bar is used (also works in dynes '06)

Do you have enough confused?
